Tracking Changes
Traditional Mole Mapping methods rely on highly expensive scanning equipment, and costs can run into many hundreds of pounds per scan, once assessment is included.
Our MTRACK tracking database offers a simpler and far more accessible way of keeping an eye on skin lesions, which greatly increases the chances of detecting any suspicious changes.
At least three images are taken of every skin lesion requiring tracking:
One showing position on the body
One close up
One through the dermatoscope.
Sometimes more images (for example, to show appearance under polarised light) are added.
The images are stored on a secure server, fully GDPR compliant and only accessible by us. You will have an opportunity to view them, if you wish, prior to upload.
Depending on the type of lesion and your wishes, we can arrange reviews at appropriate intervals, comparing the stored images to present findings to check that things are stable and no suspicious changes occur. New images are added at check ups.

MTRACK Follow-Up Appointment: £40
A follow-up appointment with repeat imaging to monitor previously assessed lesions and check for any changes over time.
This appointment is only suitable for lesions that have already been assessed and imaged by Access Dermatology. If you have not previously been seen by Access Dermatology, you will need to book a New Patient Initial Consultation first.
